Job Summary
We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Daycare Volunteers to support the care and development of children in our community. This role offers an opportunity to make a positive impact by assisting with daily activities, supervising children, and creating a safe, nurturing environment. Volunteers will work alongside staff to promote early childhood development and foster a welcoming atmosphere for children and their families.
Duties
- Supervise and engage children in age-appropriate activities, including play, arts and crafts, and educational exercises
- Assist with daily routines such as mealtime, naptime, and bathroom breaks
- Support classroom management by maintaining a safe and clean environment
- Interact positively with children to promote social skills and emotional well-being
- Collaborate with staff to implement activity plans and ensure children's safety at all times
- Provide compassionate care for children with diverse needs, including those with disabilities
- Help create an inclusive atmosphere that encourages learning and development
Qualifications
- Prior experience working with children or in early childhood education is preferred
- Experience working with individuals with disabilities is a plus
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team
- Demonstrated patience, caring nature, and enthusiasm for working with children
- Ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Reliable, responsible, and committed to maintaining confidentiality and professionalism
- Must be at least 18 years old or older
- Early Childhood certificate a must
- Valid first aid certificate
- less than 6 months background check with vulnerable sector search.
