We're on the hunt for a passionate French teacher who loves bringing language to life through song, story, movement, and play. What You Will Do:
- Planning and delivering engaging French language programs to Montessori-aged children, part time, on a recurring weekly schedule
- Introducing French through immersive, age-appropriate methods including songs, stories, games, and conversation
- Adapting lessons across age groups (Toddler, Casa, and/or Elementary) to meet children where they are developmentally
- Observing children closely and using those observations to inform your teaching
- Keeping documentation of student progress to share with classroom guides and families
- Contributing input for report cards and participating in parent-teacher interviews as needed
- Collaborating with classroom guides to integrate French naturally into the broader Montessori environment
- Attending staff meetings and in-service training (PA days) as scheduled
What You Bring:
- Bachelor's Degree, B.Ed., or equivalent teaching qualification
- Fluency in French (native or near-native)
- 2 years of teaching experience with young children; Montessori experience an asset
- Excellent communication skills and a natural rapport with children
- Strong organizational skills and comfort with Microsoft Office/Outlook
