Family Physiotherapy Clinic is seeking a Part-Time Physiotherapy Assistant (PTA) in Edmonton, Alberta to support our physiotherapists in delivering high-quality patient care.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone with experience in a physiotherapy clinic, rehabilitation clinic, chiropractic clinic, or sports medicine setting.
Job Type
Part-Time (20-30 hours per week)
Compensation
$16.00–$18.00 per hour (based on experience)
Physiotherapy Assistant Job Responsibilities
- Assist with therapeutic exercises and rehabilitation programs
- Supervise patients during active rehab sessions
- Apply modalities including heat, ice, TENS, ultrasound, IFC
- Prepare treatment rooms and maintain clinic cleanliness
- Support physiotherapists with patient flow
- Document treatment sessions as directed
- Provide excellent patient customer service
Qualifications
- Diploma as a Physiotherapy Assistant (PTA) or Rehabilitation Assistant preferred or equivalent
- Experience in a physiotherapy or rehabilitation clinic (asset)
- CPR/First Aid certification preferred
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to multitask in a busy clinical environment
