About Il Centro:
The Italian Cultural Centre, or Il Centro, has been an essential part of Vancouver’s cultural landscape for more than four decades. It opened in 1977 when its founding members,13 existing Italian Associations, came together with the shared dream of creating “a place of their own” in Vancouver.
Graphic Design & Creative Services:
- Design high-quality print and digital marketing materials, including event
posters, brochures, flyers, signage, menus, advertisements, banners,
newsletters, merchandise, and promotional materials.
- Create visually engaging graphics for social media, email marketing, websites,
and digital advertising.
- Ensure all creative assets maintain Il Centro’s brand identity
and visual standards.
- Collaborate with internal departments to develop creative
materials that support programs, events, fundraising initiatives,
and community partnerships.
Content Creation & Social Media Management:
- Develop engaging written, visual, and video content for Il Centro’s
digital platforms.
- Create and maintain monthly content calendars across all social media
channels.
- Manage Il Centro’s social media platforms, including Facebook, Instagram,
TikTok, LinkedIn, and other relevant channels.
- Capture photography and video content during events, programs, and day-today
activities with Il Centro’s phone.
- Edit videos for social media, promotional campaigns, and digital advertising.
- Plan, schedule, publish, and monitor social media content using current
best practices.
- Engage with the online community by responding to comments,
direct messages, and inquiries in a timely and professional manner.
- Monitor social media trends and recommend new ideas and strategies
to increase audience engagement.
- Track social media performance using platform analytics and provide
recommendations to improve reach and engagement.
- Creation and distribution of email marketing campaigns using Mailchimp.

Website Management:
- Maintain and update Il Centro’s website using the Wix platform as needed.
- Design and build new webpages, event pages, and promotional landing pages.
- Ensure website content is accurate, visually appealing, and up to date.
- Optimize website pages using SEO best practices, including keywords,
metadata descriptions, and image optimization.
- Monitor website performance and recommend/make improvements
to enhance UX/UI.
Marketing & Communications:
- Assist in developing and executing marketing campaigns for events,
programs, fundraising initiatives, and organizational promotions.
- Work collaboratively with the Marketing Coordinator and other departments
to create integrated marketing campaigns.
- Assist with promotional timelines and ensure marketing materials are
completed on schedule.
- Maintain consistency across all digital and print communications.

Qualifications:
- Proven experience in graphic design, content creation, social media
management, and/or digital marketing.
- Strong portfolio demonstrating graphic design, branding,
and content creation skills.
- Advanced proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator,
InDesign, Premiere Pro, After Effects or equivalent).
- Proficiency with CapCut for editing short-form social media content, including
Instagram Reels and TikTok videos.
- Experience managing social media platforms including Facebook, Instagram,
TikTok, and LinkedIn.
- Experience designing and maintaining websites using Wix.
- Strong photography and videography skills, including editing for social media
and promotional content.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with strong attention to detail.
- Knowledge of social media analytics and performance reporting.
- Understanding of SEO and digital marketing best practices.
- Experience using Mailchimp, Eventbrite, and Microsoft Office
is considered an asset.
- Highly organized with excellent time management skills and the ability to
manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Creative thinker with strong problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Graphic Design, Digital
Media, or a related field is preferred.
- The Following Are Considered Assets:
- Knowledge of Italian language and culture.
- Experience working for a non-profit organization.
- Experience with event planning and promotions.
- Experience managing multiple brands or departments under one organization.
- Knowledge of Google Analytics and Google Business Profile.
Pay: $50,000.00-$55,000.00 per year
