We are seeking a skilled Truck Driver - Class 1 to join our dynamic team in Canada. Based in our Halifax office, this role is vital in ensuring timely and safe transportation of goods, reflecting our commitment to excellence and reliability.
Job Responsibilities
- Operate Class 1 tractor-trailers safely and professionally.
- Complete local dedicated deliveries and pickups.
- Haul Dry Van and Reefer trailers.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections.
- Secure and inspect freight before transport.
- Maintain accurate logbooks and required paperwork.
- Communicate with dispatch regarding deliveries and schedules.
- Follow all company policies and provincial/federal transportation regulations.
- Keep the assigned truck clean and well maintained.
Requirements
- Valid Class 1 Driver's Licence.
- Minimum 1 year of verified Class 1 driving experience.
- Clean driver's abstract.
- Ability to pass a pre-employment drug and alcohol test (if required).
- Strong knowledge of safety regulations.
- Reliable, punctual, and professional.
