We are seeking a skilled and passionate Esthetician, licensed by CANS to join our team at Pastel Skin Clinic. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in skincare treatments and a commitment to providing exceptional guest services. As an Esthetician, you will play a vital role in enhancing the overall experience of our clients through personalized skincare solutions and treatments!
Duties
- Provide professional esthetic services including waxing, facials, and other hair removal treatments, tailored to individual client needs.
- Maintain the highest standards of hygiene, cleanliness, and safety in all treatment areas, following clinic protocols and industry best practices.
- Deliver excellent client care by creating a welcoming, respectful, and comfortable environment for all individuals.
- Build and maintain positive, professional relationships with clients, ensuring consistent communication and follow-up when needed.
- Recommend and educate clients on appropriate skincare products and treatment packages based on their goals and skin types.
- Take accountability for your work, including being open to feedback and owning any mistakes with professionalism and a desire to improve.
- Ask for help or request additional training when unsure about a service, technique, or situation—support and growth are part of our team culture.
- Assist with general clinic upkeep, including cleaning and sanitizing equipment, treatment rooms, and shared spaces throughout the day.

Qualifications
- Completion of a recognized esthetics program (minimum 1,500 hours of theory and practical training) and valid Cosmetologist (Esthetics) License through the Cosmetology Association of Nova Scotia (CANS).
- Proven experience performing waxing, facials, hair removal, and a variety of esthetic services in a spa, clinic, or similar setting.
- Strong knowledge of sanitation, hygiene, and workplace safety, in accordance with provincial guidelines (WHMIS/OHS standards).
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with a professional and welcoming approach to client care.
- Ability to recommend and educate clients on appropriate skincare products and treatment plans.
- Demonstrated accountability—takes responsibility for work, seeks help or training when needed, and values continuous improvement.
- Must contribute positively to a respectful, inclusive, and team-oriented workplace culture.
- Fluency in English (written and spoken) is required.
Schedule Requirements
- This is a part-time position
- Requests for days off must be submitted well in advance and cannot conflict with client bookings.
- Reliability and consistency are essential.

Pay: From $18.00 per hour
Expected hours: No less than 35 per week
