We are currently seeking a Full-Time Farm Equipment Mechanic to join our team. The successful candidate will be a skilled, dependable mechanic who takes pride in maintaining and repairing equipment to ensure our operation runs safely and efficiently. Key Responsibilities
- Service, maintain, and repair a wide range of equipment such as but not limited to plows, cultivators, disc seed drills, fertilizer spreaders, sprayers, irrigation systems, generators, sod harvesters, trucks, and cars.
- Diagnose mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, steering, and brake system issues
- Operate oxy-acetylene welding and cutting equipment
- Ensure all equipment is operating safely and efficiently
- Perform preventative maintenance and repairs as required
- Maintains a safe and organized work environment while adhering to all applicable safety regulations and procedures
- Responsible for ordering repair parts as needed and handing in appropriate paperwork to front office for billing.
Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years experience in a similar role
- Strong mechanical aptitude with experience servicing hydraulic, electrical, steering, and brake systems on agricultural and heavy equipment.
- Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills
- Ability to work independently and manage priorities
- Must be able to lift 50lbs
- Valid driver's licence required
- AZ Licence is considered an asset but not required
- 421A, 425A, 310T or 310S an asset but not required.
Hours of Work
In Season:
· Monday to Friday: 6:00 AM – 3:00 PM
· Occasional overtime opportunities (including Saturdays)
Off Season:
- Flexible scheduling available 40 hours per week
