Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Janitor to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and orderliness in various facilities, ensuring a safe and pleasant environment for all occupants. This role requires a proactive approach to cleaning and facilities maintenance, with a focus on commercial cleaning standards.
Responsibilities
- Perform routine cleaning tasks including sweeping, mopping, dusting, and vacuuming of floors and surfaces.
- Clean and sanitize restrooms, break rooms, and other common areas to maintain hygiene standards.
- Empty trash receptacles and ensure proper disposal of waste materials.
- Maintain cleanliness of windows, walls, and fixtures as needed.
- Monitor cleaning supplies inventory and report when reordering is necessary.
- Follow safety protocols while using cleaning chemicals and equipment.
- Respond promptly to cleaning requests or emergencies as they arise.
Requirements
- Previous experience in commercial cleaning or facilities maintenance is preferred but not required.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to maintain high cleanliness standards.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Good physical stamina; ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform repetitive tasks throughout the shift.
- Familiarity with cleaning equipment, tools, and chemicals used in commercial settings is a plus.
- Excellent time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
- Must have clean record check
- Must have own vehicle as no buses to location
Join us in creating a clean and welcoming environment for our clients and staff! Minimal hours. 1hr a day, starting at 4pm, Monday to Friday, with another 1hr on Wednesdays after the 1st location.
Job Types: Part-time, Permanent
Pay: $18.00 per hour
