We are looking for an experienced and motivated Estimator to join our team. This role is critical to the continued growth and success of our company. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing accurate estimates for excavation and underground utility projects, as well as estimating service and plumbing-related work.
If you have a strong background in the mechanical industry and experience with plumbing, drain cleaning, septic systems, and excavation services, we want to hear from you.
Key Responsibilities
Excavation & Underground Utility Estimating
- Prepare detailed estimates for:
- Storm systems
- Sewer systems
- Water service installations
- Septic systems
- Excavation and site service projects
- Review project drawings, specifications, and site conditions
- Determine labor, equipment, and material costs
- Coordinate with suppliers and subcontractors for pricing
- Assist with project planning and scheduling
Service & Plumbing Estimating
- Estimate general service work including:
- Routine drain cleaning maintenance
- Pump truck and septic services
- Plumbing service and repair projects
- Assist in preparing plumbing project estimates and proposals
- Follow up on leads and opportunities to help increase sales
Business Development & Sales Support
- Build and maintain strong customer relationships
- Help identify new sales opportunities
- Support the company’s growth initiatives through accurate and competitive estimating
- Work closely with operations and management teams
Qualifications
Required Experience
- Experience in the mechanical industry
- Strong background in:
- Plumbing
- Drain cleaning
- Excavation
- Underground utilities
- Septic systems
- Previous estimating experience preferred
- Ability to read and interpret drawings and specifications
Skills & Attributes
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Detail-oriented with excellent problem-solving abilities
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines
- Proficient with computers and estimating software
- Self-motivated and team-oriented
- Valid driver’s license
