Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Decedent Transfer Specialist to manage the respectful and efficient transfer of deceased individuals’ remains. Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial vehicles to transfer decedents between facilities, funeral homes, or other designated locations
- Assist with heavy lifting and secure transportation of remains, ensuring dignity and respect at all times
- Maintain accurate records of transfers, including documentation of chain of custody and transfer logs
- Follow all safety protocols, including proper handling of biohazard materials and use of personal protective equipment
- Conduct routine vehicle inspections to ensure operational safety and cleanliness for each transfer
- Provide excellent customer service by demonstrating empathy, professionalism, and clear communication throughout the process
Qualifications
- Valid commercial driver’s license with a clean driving record and clean criminal record
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively in sensitive situations
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and handle physical demands of the role
- Excellent communication skills to coordinate with families, team members, and external partners
- Knowledge of safety regulations related to transportation and handling of human remains is a plus but not required; training will be provided
- Ability to maintain professionalism, discretion, and compassion at all times

Pay: $20.00-$25.00 per hour
