Day Program Support Worker
Cornerstones Special Needs Services
Position: Independent Contractor
Hours: Monday to Friday | 8:45 a.m. – 3:00 p.m.
Availability: 0–24 hours per week
Cornerstones Special Needs Services is seeking compassionate and energetic individuals to support adults with developmental disabilities in our Adult Day Program.
Responsibilities
- Provide one-to-one and group support using meaningful activities that promote social skills, emotional regulation, and life skills.
- Implement Positive Behaviour Supports.
- Maintain a safe, respectful, and therapeutic environment.
- Assist with personal care, including feeding, changing, and other activities of daily living as required.
- Complete daily family communication logs and documentation.
- Participate in community outings and activities, including swimming, bowling, hiking, music, and other recreational programs.
Qualifications
- Developmental Services Worker (DSW), Child & Youth Worker (CYW/CYC), Personal Support Worker (PSW), or a related field.
- Experience supporting individuals with developmental disabilities.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Current Standard First Aid & CPR. Valid CPI an asset.
- Current Vulnerable Sector Police Check.

Pay: $19.00-$22.00 per hour
