Overview
We are seeking a reliable and experienced Ready Mix Driver to join our construction team. This role involves operating commercial vehicles to deliver concrete and related materials to construction sites, ensuring timely and safe transportation. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of heavy equipment operation, construction processes, and excellent driving skills. Duties
- Safely operate commercial trucks to deliver ready mix concrete to various construction sites
- Ensure accurate loading and unloading of materials in accordance with project specifications
- Maintain proper documentation of deliveries, including logs and delivery tickets
- Conduct routine vehicle inspections and perform basic maintenance or report issues promptly
- Assist with site setup and coordination during deliveries as needed
- Follow all safety protocols and traffic laws to ensure safe transportation of materials
Skills
- Mechanical knowledge for basic vehicle maintenance and troubleshooting
- Experience with heavy equipment operation such as loaders, excavators, or concrete finishing tools is a plus
- Commercial driving experience with a valid driver’s license suitable for operating large trucks
- Ability to operate heavy equipment safely and efficiently on-site when required
- Knowledge of safety standards related to transporting hazardous or heavy materials
- Excellent communication skills for coordinating with team members and clients
- Physical ability to load, unload, and handle materials; capable of working in various weather conditions
