What you'll do
We have two exciting opportunities to join the Properties management team.
The Manager, North Coast Transmission line Properties (NCTL) and the Manager, Interconnections and Site C Properties
both report to the Senior Manager, North Coast, Interconnections and Site C Properties (NCIS). As members of the NCIS
leadership team, these roles share accountability for achieving NCIS strategic objectives while actively reinforcing and
carrying forward the team’s culture of collaboration, transparency, flexibility, and high performance.
Specific accountabilities include:
- Provides day-to-day leadership, coaching and performance support to a team of approximately six (6) staff supporting the
delivery of either Interconnection and Site C projects or the deliverables for the North Coast Transmission Line projects.
- Oversees functions such as planning, engagement and land acquisition related to Interconnection projects, and the
ongoing management of land and rights associated with Site C, and the coordination and delivery of property-related
activities supporting the North Coast Transmission Line (NCTL) project.
- Models and reinforces team culture, collaboration, transparency, flexibility and accountability. Ensures their team
members remain fully integrated within the broader group by promoting collaboration and partnering closely with peer
managers to deliver as one team.
- Works closely with peer managers to coordinate priorities, resourcing and delivery across portfolios, ensuring consistency
in approach, messaging and decision-making across the broader team.
- Provides regular, actionable coaching and feedback to team members and supports career development planning aligned
with both individual and organizational goals.
- Works collaboratively and productively with key partners in other BC Hydro business groups to deliver integrated,
comprehensive outcomes that reflect BC Hydro’s business interests.
- Represents Properties in complex multi-function, multi business unit projects with medium-high risk impacts.
- Leads or supports negotiations and agreements with internal and external stakeholders, providing informed guidance on
stakeholder needs, project requirements, and property-related considerations.
- Exercises independent judgment on moderately complex medium impact problem solving.
- Identifies and maintains moderate impact/risk relationships with internal and external clients through strongly influential
contact and negotiation representing BC Hydro and overseeing relationship management of staff.
- Provides guidance to staff and ensures staff are compliant with internal practices, guidelines, and corporate policies.
