Construction Site Supervisor / Civil Technician

Job Overview:
As a Site Supervisor, you will be responsible for supervising and coordinating ongoing construction projects. Your role will involve overseeing the construction crew ensuring project timelines are met and maintaining quality standards throughout the process. Many projects involve ICF and concrete related elements and experience as a Civil Technician is a significant asset.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
· Manage and lead construction crew, providing regular and consistent feedback
· Ensure effective and efficient use of personnel, materials, equipment, facilities, and time
· Identify training gaps and ensure training is provided to team before tasks are delegated
· Monitor equipment for maintenance requirements and ensure operators perform daily checks
· Coordinate and manage site activities
· administration activities including timekeeping, labour and equipment coding, safety reporting, etc.
· Perform quantity takeoffs for concrete and rebar
· Ensure all work is completed to high standards and concrete quality standards are maintained
· Ensure a safe work environment in compliance with all safety policies and procedures using the appropriate tools and equipment for the task
· Ensure safety of fellow employees
Required Skills & Experience:
· 5 years’ experience working in construction
· High attention to detail in completing work tasks
· Must be well versed in construction site protocols, rules, and code of conduct
· Strong management, delegation, planning and leadership skills
· Ability to read plans and specifications, and understand basic contractual requirements
· Concrete/ICF experience is a requirement
· Ability to estimate concrete and rebar quantities
· Comply with all safety policies and procedures
· Ability to deal with people tactfully, diplomatically, and professionally
