Job Summary
Midori is seeking a dedicated and skilled Line Cook to join our team and help us with our exiting new menu. This position requires a passion for good food, an understanding of kitchen operations and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced restaurant environment.
Duties
- Prepare and cook menu items according to recipes and restaurant standards.
- Ensure all food handling practices comply with health and safety regulations.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen, including workstations, utensils, and equipment.
- Assist in the preparation of ingredients, including washing, chopping, and marinating as needed.
- Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure timely meal preparation and service.
- Monitor food stock levels and assist with inventory management.
Requirements
- Previous experience in food service or kitchen environment preferred.
- Knowledge of food handling, safety practices, and sanitation standards is essential.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
- A passion for cooking and an eagerness to learn new techniques in the culinary field.
