Job Summary:
Microtel Blackfalds is looking for a dependable and hardworking Part-Time Maintenance Worker to assist with the day-to-day maintenance and upkeep of the hotel property. This role includes minor room repairs, general property maintenance, and outdoor upkeep to help ensure a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for guests and staff.
Responsibilities:
- Perform minor room repairs and maintenance tasks
- Assist with general hotel upkeep and preventative maintenance
- Maintain cleanliness and appearance of the parking lot and outdoor areas
- Handle basic plumbing, painting, drywall, and light repair work as needed
- Respond to maintenance requests in a timely manner
- Work with hotel staff to address maintenance concerns
- Ensure tools and maintenance areas are organized and safe
Qualifications:
- General maintenance or handyman experience preferred
- Basic knowledge of plumbing, electrical, and repairs is an asset
- Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks
- Reliable, punctual, and detail-oriented
- Physically able to lift, carry, and perform maintenance duties
- Must be legally authorized to work in Canada
