Hours: Rotating Continental (Days/Nights) – 12-hour shifts
Payrate: $24.00/hour
Overtime Method: Averaging agreement over 88 hours

Job Overview:
Toronto Eaton Centre is one of Canada’s premier retail destinations, located in the heart of downtown Toronto. With high daily foot traffic, a wide range of retailers, and continuous activity throughout the day, the site operates in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
As a Security Guard, you will play a key role in maintaining a safe and secure environment across the property. This position involves a combination of patrol, customer service, and incident response, requiring professionalism, strong communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a high-traffic setting.
Key Responsibilities:

Maintain a visible presence across the property to deter theft, vandalism, and unauthorized activity

Conduct regular patrols of the mall, including common areas, entrances, and high-traffic zones

Monitor site activity and identify any safety or security concerns

Respond to incidents including disturbances, theft, medical calls, and emergencies

Provide strong customer service by assisting tenants, employees, and visitors with directions and inquiries

Enforce mall policies, procedures, and safety regulations

Communicate effectively with dispatch, supervisors, and team members
-
Complete detailed incident reports and daily logs in a timely manner

Assist with crowd management during peak periods and special events

Support emergency procedures including evacuations and coordination with emergency services
Prerequisites:

Ability to obtain a Security License in the province of Ontario

Valid First Aid & CPR Level C from a WSIB approved provider
-
Previous experience in security, retail, or customer service is an asset

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Strong observation and situational awareness

Ability to remain calm and professional in high-pressure situations

Strong report writing and documentation skills

Comfortable standing and walking for extended periods

Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Applicants who do not possess these certifications can opt into Paladin's Use of Force (UOF)/Management of Aggressive Behavior (MOAB) certification program prior to their onboarding training to ensure they meet the requirements of the position
