Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable and personable Remote Front Desk Helper for an auto repair shop. This role involves managing customer interactions, scheduling appointments, and providing excellent customer service remotely. The ideal candidate will have automotive knowledge, dealership or mechanic experience, and strong sales skills to assist clients effectively while supporting the shop’s operational needs. Responsibilities
- Answer incoming calls and respond to customer inquiries professionally and promptly
- Schedule, confirm, and reschedule service appointments for clients
- Assist customers with service explanations and upselling additional repairs or maintenance when appropriate
- Handle cash transactions accurately and process payments securely
- Maintain detailed records of customer interactions, appointments, and sales
- Provide exceptional customer service by addressing concerns and ensuring client satisfaction
- Support the shop’s daily operations by coordinating communication between customers and technicians
- Promote additional services or products to enhance customer experience and shop revenue
Qualifications
- Dealership or mechanic experience is highly preferred, along with automotive repair knowledge
- Strong customer service skills with a friendly, professional demeanor
- Sales experience, including upselling techniques, is a plus
- Ability to handle cash transactions accurately and responsibly
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Mechanical knowledge to understand basic automotive issues is advantageous
- Reliable internet connection and ability to work remotely with minimal supervision
- Prior experience in automotive industry settings is desirable but not required
