Bilingual proficiency in English and Mandarin is required for this position.
- Integrate supply chain constraints and requirements into overall project scheduling and planning activities.
- Lead and manage RFX processes for critical purchase orders and contracts, including long-lead, high-value, and complex procurement items.
- Prepare commercial evaluations, issue purchase orders, and develop contracts in accordance with project and company requirements.
- Work closely with engineering disciplines and construction teams to ensure timely execution of supply chain deliverables.
- Protect company interests through the inclusion of appropriate contractual terms and conditions.
- Administer contracts and coordinate the expediting of purchase orders to meet project timelines.
- Verify invoice accuracy against purchase orders and contracts and process documentation for approval within the funding/payment system.
- Maintain accurate procurement status reporting for submission to Project Management Team (PMT) and clients.
- Prepare cost accruals and forecasts, including supporting documentation for budget adjustments when required.
- Manage contract close-out activities in accordance with company procedures.
- Collaborate with site teams to ensure delivered materials meet specifications and document any shortages, overages, or damages.
- Support logistics activities, including logistics planning, inventory management, manufacturing coordination, shipment tracking, delivery coordination, and return material processing.
- Develop and maintain strong supplier relationships, including ongoing communication and negotiation with vendors.
- Identify inefficiencies within the supply chain and implement improvements to enhance overall performance and effectiveness.
- Engage with vendor representatives to stay informed on market developments and negotiate pricing, service levels, quality, and other commercial terms.
- Work with the Supply Chain Manager to identify and evaluate new suppliers, making recommendations for approval.
- Coordinate with internal departments to present supplier alternatives, design modifications, standardization opportunities, and other supply-related improvements.
- Perform other supply chain management duties as required to support project execution.
- Report to the Project Supply Chain Lead and Supply Chain Manager.
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum 5+ years of EPC or EPCM experience in a Buyer or procurement role.
- Proven experience procuring complex, high-value, and critical equipment and materials.
- Strong background in expediting, logistics coordination, and supply chain execution.
- Solid understanding of project scheduling and ability to prioritize workload effectively.
- Strong team player with the ability to collaborate across multidisciplinary teams for successful project outcomes.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and comfortable working with procurement and project management systems.
- Demonstrated experience in commercial negotiation and contract management.
- Bilingual proficiency in English and Mandarin is required.
