Part-Time Cleaner
Hunter Gather Services is looking for a reliable, detail-oriented cleaner to join our growing team.
This position focuses primarily on move-in/move-out cleans, Airbnb turnovers, and residential cleaning services throughout the Halifax Regional Municipality. Every day is a little different, and we're looking for someone who takes pride in their work and enjoys transforming spaces.
Experience is an asset, but not required. We are happy to train the right person with a strong work ethic, positive attitude, and willingness to learn.
Responsibilities
- Complete move-in and move-out cleaning services
- Perform Airbnb turnover cleans to a high standard
- Conduct residential cleaning services
- Deep clean kitchens, bathrooms, bedrooms, and living spaces
- Clean walls, baseboards, doors, trim, windowsills, and high-touch surfaces
- Vacuum, sweep, mop, and dust thoroughly
- Remove garbage and debris from properties
- Identify and report any maintenance concerns or damages
- Follow cleaning checklists and company standards
- Communicate with management regarding job completion, issues, and scheduling
- Occasionally assist with organizing, staging, or preparing properties for new tenants or guests
Requirements
- Valid driver's license
- Reliable vehicle for transportation between job sites
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and efficiently
- Good communication skills
- Reliable and punctual
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical work throughout the day
- Comfortable working in occupied homes, vacant properties, and short-term rentals
- Ability to manage time effectively and maintain quality standards
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous residential, commercial, Airbnb, or move-out cleaning experience
- Experience with deep cleaning and property turnovers
- Knowledge of cleaning products and equipment
What We're Looking For
The ideal candidate is someone who notices the little things. We want someone who takes pride in leaving a property spotless, communicates well, shows up when scheduled, and can work without constant supervision.
This is not a typical office job. Some days you may be preparing an Airbnb for arriving guests, while other days you may be completing a move-out clean for a property manager or helping a homeowner get their house ready for sale.
