SAKE PRODUCTION ASSISTANT & TASTING COUNTER ASSOCIATE
Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented SAKE PRODUCTION ASSISTANT & TASTING COUNTER ASSOCIATE to join our team. This role involves supporting the sake making process, assisting with tasting sessions, and providing exceptional customer service. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food and beverage, experience in food handling, and a keen interest in Japanese sake culture. This position offers an engaging environment where you can develop your skills in sake production, food preparation, and customer interaction.
Responsibilities
- Assist with the production of sake, including monitoring fermentation processes and maintaining cleanliness of brewing equipment
- Prepare and serve sake tastings at the tasting counter, providing informative and friendly customer service
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the tasting area and production workspace
- Handle food items with proper safety and hygiene practices, including packaging and labeling products
- Support kitchen activities such as food preparation, baking, or other culinary tasks as needed
- Ensure compliance with food safety standards and proper handling procedures
- Engage with customers to educate them about sake varieties, brewing methods, and pairing suggestions
- Assist in inventory management by stocking supplies and ingredients for production and tasting sessions
Qualifications
- Food or beverage production experience
- Knowledge of food industry standards, food safety protocols, and kitchen experience preferred
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Passion for Japanese culture or sake is a plus but not required
- Ability to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks with precision
- Ability to lift and carry 30 kg
- Awareness of hygene and tidiness

Pay: $18.25-$20.00 per hour
