Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Caregiver/Support Worker to join our team. Duties
- Assist clients with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, dressing, and mobility support.
- Provide companionship and emotional support to clients, fostering a positive environment.
- Prepare nutritious meals according to dietary needs and preferences.
- Maintain a clean and safe living environment for clients by performing light housekeeping duties.
- Assist with medication reminders and basic health monitoring as needed.
- Support clients with mobility challenges through heavy lifting or transferring when necessary.
- Document client progress and report any changes in behavior or health status to the appropriate personnel.
- Engage clients in meaningful activities that promote mental and physical well-being.
Skills
- Experience in senior care or working with persons with disabilities is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of pakinson care practices is a plus.
- Familiarity with hospice care principles is beneficial.
- Strong caregiving skills, including patience, empathy, and effective communication.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and effectively when assisting clients.
- Attention to detail in maintaining cleanliness and safety standards in client environments.
- A proactive approach to meal preparation that meets individual dietary requirements.
- Previous experience in nursing homes or similar settings is an advantage.
- This is full time contract position.
