Overview
We are seeking a friendly and detail-oriented Deli Associate to join our team. This role involves providing excellent customer service, preparing fresh deli items, and maintaining a clean and organized work environment. The ideal candidate will have experience in food service or the food industry, with a strong focus on food safety and sanitation. Duties
- Prepare and serve a variety of deli products, including slicing meats and cheeses, assembling sandwiches, and maintaining product freshness
- Manage customer orders efficiently while providing exceptional customer service
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards in the deli area according to food safety guidelines
- Restock shelves, organize display cases, and ensure product presentation is appealing
- Upsell products to enhance customer experience and increase sales
- Follow all food handling procedures to ensure proper hygiene and safety standards are met
- Assist with inventory management and stock rotation as needed
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth daily operations
Qualifications
- Previous experience in food preparation, food service, or restaurant environment
- Strong customer service skills with a friendly demeanor
- Knowledge of food safety standards and sanitation practices
- Must have Food Safe 1
- Ability to manage time effectively in a fast-paced setting
- Excellent communication skills and teamwork orientation
- Experience in food handling, serving, or kitchen work is advantageous
- Ability to upsell products confidently to enhance sales opportunities
