Leon's is searching for a Sales Associate to join our team in St. John's, NL.

In this role, you will assist customers in selecting furniture, appliances and home decor items that suit their needs, while delivering a seamless and enjoyable shopping experience in our beautifully designed super store at 60 Elizabeth Avenue, St. John's.
Responsibilities
- Greet and engage with customers in a friendly and professional manner
- Assess customer needs and provide knowledgeable, expert advice on product selection.
- Demonstrate product features and benefits, offering design recommendations when needed. Understand product knowledge on current inventory, pricing, promotions, warranties, etc.
- Operate the Point of Sale (POS) system efficiently, handling sales transactions and processing payments accurately.
- Maintain an organized sales floor, assist with showroom setup ensuring products are well-displayed for an inviting store environment.
- Collaborate with team members to achieve sales goals and enhance the overall shopping experience.
- Utilize effective time management skills to prioritize tasks during busy periods.
- Follow-up with customers, pre-sale and post-sale, to ensure customer satisfaction and encourage repeat business.
Experience
- Previous experience in retail sales or customer service is preferred.
- Familiarity with furniture and appliance sales is a strong plus.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with attention to detail.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule including evenings and weekends.
- Skill and passion for interior design while helping customers find the perfect products for their needs.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $40,000.00-$90,000.00 per year
