Leaps & Bounds Children’s Centre is a licensed, non-profit child care centre with several locations in Arnprior and Renfrew. We are in the process of opening a new Fatima location which will be based out of Our Lady of Fatima Catholic School on Mason Avenue in Renfrew. We will offer Kindergarten and School Aged Programs at this location.
We are currently recruiting for the position of Supervisor. An opening date has not been determined yet and will depend on licensing. This position requires 37.5 hours per week at 7.5 hours per day onsite Monday to Friday. The rate of pay is $33.81 per hour ($30.10 base rate plus $3.71 Wage Enhancement). Wage Enhancement is a government funded supplement and only available when being offered by the government. This posting is for a new position and will depend on Ministry approval.
Requirements:
- Registered with the College of ECE
- Thorough knowledge of the CCEYA
- Knowledge of HDLH
- At least 5 years experience on the floor in licensed child care setting.
- Strong family/client service skills
- Budgeting and financial skills
- Current Standard First Aid / CPR C
- Current Criminal Reference Check for the Vulnerable Sector
- Proof of up-to-date immunizations and ability to get a note from a medical practitioner indicating good health
- WHMIS, AODA, CCEYA certificates
- Strong leadership skills- must be approved by the Ministry of Education for the position (Director Approval)
- Must be computer literate and have knowledge of Word, Excel, Outlook
- Adequate energy level and ability to meet the physical demands of the job which can include frequent lifting of 20 pounds or more, standing, bending, kneeling, crouching, reaching etc.
Considered an Asset:
- Prior experience in a Supervisor or Designate role
- Experience with children with special needs
