An established automotive dealership in Calgary is seeking an experienced General Manager to oversee all aspects of operations and drive sustained business performance. This is an opportunity for a proven dealership leader—or an exceptional current General Sales Manager with a strong track record who is ready for the next step—who excels in building strong teams, improving operational performance, and delivering an exceptional customer experience.
The General Manager will be responsible for overall dealership performance, providing leadership across all departments while ensuring strong financial results, operational efficiency, and a high-performance culture.
Responsibilities
- Oversee daily operations across Sales, Finance, Service, and Parts departments
- Develop and execute strategies to drive profitability, growth, and operational efficiency
- Lead, coach, and support department managers to strengthen performance and accountability
- Monitor key performance indicators and financial results across all areas of the business
- Ensure consistent delivery of a high-quality customer experience
- Optimize inventory management, sales processes, and fixed operations performance
- Build and maintain a strong, engaged, and performance-driven team culture
- Ensure compliance with manufacturer requirements, industry standards, and internal policies
Qualifications
The successful candidate will bring strong leadership experience within automotive dealership operations.
- Over 3 years' experience as a General Manager in a franchised automotive dealership, or currently serving as a high-performing General Sales Manager with a proven record of delivering strong results and demonstrating readiness to step into a General Manager role
- Proven track record leading Sales, Finance, Service, and Parts operations
- Strong ability to build, develop, and retain high-performing teams
- Solid financial and operational management experience within a dealership environment
- Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Strategic mindset with a hands-on, execution-focused approach
- Strong organizational and prioritization skills in a fast-paced environment
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving abstract

Pay: $300,000.00-$500,000.00 per year
