Job Summary
We are seeking a friendly and efficient Server/Cashier to join our team in providing exceptional dining experiences. The ideal candidate will be responsible for taking orders, processing payments, and delivering excellent customer service in a fast-paced restaurant environment. This role requires a positive attitude, strong communication skills, and the ability to multitask effectively to ensure guest satisfaction and smooth restaurant operations.
Duties
- Greet customers warmly and provide menu recommendations when needed
- Take food and beverage orders accurately using POS systems, including Micros POS
- Handle cash transactions with precision, including cash handling and basic math calculations
- Serve food and beverages promptly while maintaining high standards of food safety and sanitation
- Assist in food preparation and kitchen tasks as needed to support overall restaurant operations
- Upsell menu items to enhance guest experience and increase sales opportunities
- Maintain cleanliness of dining area, tables, and service stations in accordance with sanitation standards
- Ensure timely delivery of orders to guests and check on their satisfaction throughout their visit
- Manage multiple tables efficiently through effective time management skills
- Handle customer inquiries or complaints professionally to resolve issues promptly
Skills
- Proven experience in food service, cashiering, or restaurant environments
- Strong knowledge of POS systems, particularly Micros POS, for order processing and transactions
- Excellent customer service skills with a friendly, approachable demeanor
- Ability to handle cash accurately and perform basic math calculations quickly
- Knowledge of food handling, safety procedures, and sanitation standards in the food industry
- Experience with food preparation or kitchen operations is a plus
- Effective time management skills to serve multiple guests efficiently during busy periods
- Ability to upsell menu items confidently to enhance guest experience and sales
- Good communication skills to coordinate with team members and interact with customers professionally
This position offers an opportunity to be part of a dynamic team dedicated to delivering quality service in a welcoming environment. Prior restaurant or food industry experience is preferred but not required; training will be provided for the right candidate.
Pay: $20.00-$23.60 per hour
