Why this role matters
RMG Advertising is hiring a Business Development Representative to help build pipeline and support revenue growth for our digital and out-of-home advertising team. This role is designed for someone who is coachable, organized, and ready to do more than just set meetings. Approximately 75% of your time will be focused on outbound prospecting, qualification, and booking discovery meetings. The remaining 25% will involve delivering sales presentations and supporting opportunities through to close alongside senior team members.
You will open conversations, qualify opportunities, book meetings, and deliver presentations across a modern advertising stack that includes programmatic advertising, mobile location-based targeting, connected TV, digital display, and OOH / DOOH solutions.

What you will do
- Prospect new business through cold calling, email, LinkedIn outreach, and HubSpot sequences, working from a structured playbook built around top categories, networking opportunities, and the RMG customer base.
- Research target accounts, identify decision-makers, and personalize outreach based on industry, business type, and likely advertising need.
- Qualify prospects through early discovery conversations and book meetings for the sales team.
- Deliver sales presentations on qualified opportunities, create follow-up proposals, and support contract close once client needs have been identified and addressed with RMG solutions.
- Maintain accurate notes, activity tracking, and next steps in HubSpot, with full utilization of CRM sequencing and LinkedIn Sales Navigator to maximize outreach efficiency and client value.
- Manage pipeline health through consistent follow-up, re-engagement, and accurate forecasting of meetings, proposals, and closed revenue on an ongoing basis.
- Deliver sales presentations to qualified prospects, positioning RMG’s advertising solutions to address each client’s specific objectives and drive toward close.
- Work with sales leadership to continuously refine your prospecting playbook, sharpen category messaging, and improve conversion across the full meeting-to-close cycle.
What success looks like
- Consistent daily outreach activity across calls, email, LinkedIn, and sequence-based follow-up, with monthly meeting, proposal, and sold quota attainment.
- Qualified discovery meetings booked for the sales team, with strong conversion from meeting to presentation.
- Strong CRM discipline, clean note-taking, and reliable follow-through, with an accurate and up-to-date pipeline forecast at all times.
- Demonstrated growth in presentation skills, objection handling, and the ability to move opportunities forward.
- Clear progression toward a full-cycle Account Executive role at RMG.

- Hands-on onboarding and product training across digital, programmatic, and OOH solutions.
- Coaching from experienced sales leadership and collaboration with senior sellers.
- HubSpot CRM for sequencing, activity management, and pipeline visibility.
- LinkedIn Sales Navigator for research and outbound prospecting.
- AI tools to help with account research, messaging refinement, call preparation, and workflow efficiency.
- Structured sales process support, talk tracks, presentation frameworks, category guidance, and feedback loops to help you improve quickly.

Preferred background
- 2 years of experience in sales, customer service, retail, hospitality, appointment setting, or another people-facing role.
- Cold calling or outbound prospecting experience is an asset, but not required.
- Post-secondary education in business, communications, marketing, or a related field is helpful but not required.
Pay: $55,000.00-$75,000.00 per year
