We are seeking a dedicated Solar Installer to join our Roberts Electrical team with a potential of an apprenticeship . The ideal candidate will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting solar panel systems on residential and commercial properties. The Solar Installer will work closely with project managers and other team members to ensure efficient and safe installation processes, adhering to industry standards and safety protocols.
Responsibilities
- Install solar panel systems on rooftops, ground mounts, and other designated locations following technical specifications and safety guidelines
- Assemble and connect electrical components of solar energy systems
- Conduct site assessments to determine optimal placement of solar panels
- Use hand tools, power tools, and specialized equipment to complete installations efficiently
- Perform system testing and troubleshooting to ensure proper operation of installed systems
- Maintain accurate documentation of installation processes and system configurations
- Adhere to all safety procedures and regulations during installation activities
- Collaborate with team members to meet project deadlines and quality standards
Requirements
- Prior experience in electrical work, construction, or solar installation is preferred but not mandatory; training will be provided for qualified candidates
- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions and lift heavy equipment (up to 50 pounds) as needed
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety protocols
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record is preferred for site travel purposes
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team
- Good physical stamina, including the ability to climb ladders, work at heights, and perform physically demanding tasks
- Willingness to learn new skills related to renewable energy technology and installation techniques
Pay: $20.00-$31.00 per hour
