Duties
- Greet customers warmly and provide expert guidance on vitamins, supplements, and health foods to meet their individual needs
- Maintain accurate product displays through effective merchandising, ensuring shelves are well-stocked, organized, and visually appealing
- Assist with inventory management, including stock rotation, restocking shelves, and conducting regular product checks
- Operate cash registers efficiently while providing friendly cashiering service and handling transactions accurately
- Uphold cleanliness standards by performing routine cleaning of the sales floor, displays, and work areas to ensure a hygienic shopping environment
- Support store maintenance tasks such as organizing storage areas and ensuring safety procedures are followed at all times
- Communicate product features and benefits clearly to customers, answering questions with confidence and professionalism
- Coffee Bar duties as needed during busy times as well as kitchen prep for gf vegan soups, salads and treats.
Skills
- Proven experience in retail sales, especially within health food or supplement stores is preferred
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to connect with diverse shoppers in a bilingual environment if applicable
- Excellent communication skills to effectively explain product information and promote health benefits
- Capable of maintaining cleanliness and organization in a fast-paced setting
- Reliable cashiering skills with attention to detail for accurate transactions
- Good organizational skills for inventory management and store upkeep
- Flexibility to perform maintenance tasks or assist with store operations as needed
- Food Safety Certification an asset
