Mainland Cold Distribution is looking for experienced 5-ton truck drivers for deliveries in Victoria and central Vancouver Island.
The position is for delivery of food products, and merchandising the product at the customer locations. We require someone who can be professional and courteous with our customers.
We are looking for the following for this position:
· At least 2 years experience driving a 5 ton truck, and no major driving infractions
· A reliable, flexible, and respectful team-player that takes pride in their work
· Ability to communicate with dispatchers and customers in professional manner
· Class 5 license, air brake certification and a clean drivers abstract (Class 3 is an asset)
· Knowledge of Victoria and Central Vancouver Island area an asset
· Flexibility for scheduling – hours vary by day
· Product delivery and merchandising required
· Physically able to lift 50lbs
· Experience using a pallet jack
· Experience working with a reefer truck would be an asset
· Clean casual dress required
Compensation: $27.00-30.00 an hour based on experience
Schedule:
This is an early morning start day shift. The schedule will be 3-4 days per week for approximately 24-36 hours per week.
There is occasional overtime required for this position.
