POSITION SUMMARY
Join Tahltan Nation Development Corporation (TNDC) as a Fuel and Lube Service Technician and play a key role in keeping heavy equipment running safely and efficiently on large-scale civil and earthworks projects. In this hands-on role, you’ll be responsible for fueling, lubrication, and supporting basic maintenance to minimize downtime and keep operations moving.
Working in a remote camp on a 2-week on/2-week off rotation, you’ll thrive in a fast-paced, outdoor environment where safety, reliability, and teamwork are essential.
RESPONSIBILITIES

Reporting to the Maintenance Manager or designate, responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Conducts pre-trip/walk-around safety inspections and completes daily Field Level Hazard Assessments for all activities.

Assists in maintaining a large fleet of equipment in good operating condition, reporting, and logging maintenance requirements or concerns.

Operate heavy equipment safely and efficiently and be open to run multiple pieces of equipment during your rotation if required.

Follow all site, company and client specific safety protocols, policies, and procedures.

Adhere to relevant company procedures and policies.

Maintain and ensure cleanliness of tools, equipment, and work areas.

Collaborate with team members and supervisors to ensure project timelines and quality standards are met.

Assist ticketed tradespeople in specialized tasks and learn on-the-job skills to broaden capabilities.

QUALIFICATIONS
-
3+ years experience as a Fuel & Lube Service Person or Mechanic apprentice program.

Familiarity in operating Excavator, Dozers, Loaders, and Rock Trucks in a mining, and/or industrial setting considered an asset.

Previous experience with rotational schedules and remote camp life.

Incorporates HSE concepts into work activities and demonstrates concern for others health & safety (co-workers, clients, and sub trades).

Capable of working independently in a fast-paced environment with good safety awareness.

Experience with radio communications and protocols.

Able to take direction, follow instructions, adapt to changing priorities and multitask.

Reliable and dependable.

Strong work ethic with an ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Strong oral and written communication skills and able to use diagnostics.
