Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Pharmacy Assistant to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will support pharmacists in preparing and dispensing medications, providing excellent patient care, and ensuring smooth pharmacy operations. Duties
- Assist pharmacists with medication preparation, labeling, and dispensing
- Manage inventory of pharmaceuticals and supplies to ensure stock levels are maintained
- Provide exceptional patient care by answering questions and offering guidance under pharmacist supervision
- Maintain accurate records of prescriptions and patient information in compliance with regulatory standards
- Handle administrative tasks such as data entry, filing, and processing prescriptions
- Ensure cleanliness and organization of the pharmacy environment
- Support medication administration processes as needed, including assisting with patient education
Qualifications
- Prior hospital or pharmacy technician experience is highly preferred
- Experience with Kroll.
- Strong understanding of medical terminology and medication administration procedures
- Experience in patient care environments is a plus
- Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail
- Ability to work effectively as part of a healthcare team
- Knowledge of pharmacy operations and regulatory compliance standards is advantageous
- Certification or training in pharmacy assistance or related fields is a plus
