Responsibilities
- Operate and set up CNC lathe machines, ensuring optimal performance and precision
- Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and CAD files to produce accurate parts
- Program CNC lathes using Fanuc controls and other relevant software to meet production specifications
- Conduct routine inspections of machined components using calipers, micrometers, and other hand tools
- Perform basic maintenance on CNC equipment and troubleshoot issues promptly
- Utilize hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment as needed for assembly or finishing processes
- Follow lean manufacturing principles to optimize workflow and reduce waste
- Maintain detailed documentation of machining processes, adjustments, and quality checks
- Collaborate with engineering teams on design modifications using SolidWorks or CAD software
- Ensure compliance with safety protocols and proper use of personal protective equipment
Qualifications
- Proven experience operating CNC lathe machines in a manufacturing setting
- Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to read blueprints and technical drawings accurately
- Proficiency in CNC programming, particularly with Fanuc controls
- Familiarity with CAD software such as SolidWorks or similar design tools
- Ability to perform basic math calculations relevant to machining tolerances and measurements
- Experience with machining tools including calipers, micrometers, hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment
- Knowledge of manufacturing processes including assembly, welding, and lean principles
- Valid forklift certification is a plus for material handling tasks
- Excellent attention to detail combined with strong problem-solving skills
