Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Fabricator/Welder to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for fabricating, welding, and assembling metal components with precision and adherence to safety standards. This role offers an opportunity to work on diverse projects, including structural steel, and custom fabrication, utilizing a variety of tools and techniques. The position requires a strong mechanical aptitude, proficiency in welding processes, and the ability to interpret schematics and blueprints.
Hourly wage of $32 - $40 based on experience and ability.
Duties
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to determine fabrication specifications.
- Perform MIG and Stick welding on various metals, ensuring high-quality welds that meet industry standards.
- Operate plasma cutters, press brake machines, hand tools, power tools, and other fabrication equipment safely and efficiently.
- Use calipers and other measuring tools to ensure precise cuts and assemblies.
- Rigging materials and components for lifting or positioning using cranes or forklifts as needed.
- Fabricate structural components, or custom parts according to project requirements.
- Assist in assembly processes by fitting components together accurately.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment while adhering to safety protocols.
- Collaborate with team members to meet project deadlines and quality standards.
Requirements
- Minimum 5 Year Journeyman Experience
- Has held CWB Welding certification tickets
- Experience in structural steel, stairs, railings and plate layout
- Familiarity with blueprint reading, schematics, and technical drawings, and able to interpret accurately.
- Basic math skills for measurements, calculations, and blueprint interpretation.
- Mechanical knowledge of fabrication processes, machinery, and tools.
- Ability to operate plasma cutting equipment, press brake machines, hand tools, power tools, and cranes safely.
- Ability to work on projects independently or as part of a team
- Current, valid Drivers' License
- Must currently reside in Canada and be legally able to work in Canada
Pay: $32.00-$40.00 per hour
