We are currently seeking a motivated individual for the position of Laborer within our Prince George, BC location. This is a full-time, permanent position that reports directly to the Plant Superintendent. Heavy Duty Forklift experience is required. This is a union position.
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Running overhead cranes
- Operating industrial forklift
- Loading & unloading commercial vehicles
- Picking and packaging material according to customer specifications
- Performing daily preventative maintenance
- Ensuring accuracy for all outbound shipments
- Other various labor duties as required
Education and Skills Required:
- Grade 12 or equivalent
- Forklift ticket
- Able to perform some heavy lifting
- Able to accommodate shift work
- Able to work in a fast-paced environment
- Good knowledge of math and measurements
- Effective communication skills
- Detail orientated
- Highly safety-oriented, strong situational awareness
- Strong sense of personal accountability
Shift Hours: Training on Days initially, may be required to work a variety of shifts including afternoons, graveyards & weekends depending on business requirements.
Hourly Rate: $28.37 - $35.46 / hour ($28.37 upon hire)
Wage Progression:
- Hours 0 - 1038: 80% of Classification ($28.37/hour)
- Hours 1039 - 2076: 90% of Classification ($31.91/hour)
- Hours 2077 - 3114: 95% of Classification ($33.69/hour)
- Hours over 3114: 100% of Classification ($35.46/hour)
