Al Ameen Elementary School (AES) is a private Islamic school located in Brampton, ON, established in 2015. We provide a comprehensive educational program from Kindergarten to Grade 8, blending authentic faith-based knowledge with the Ontario Elementary Curriculum.
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Middle School Teacher to join our team at Al-Ameen Elementary School. In this role, you will be responsible for delivering engaging and effective lessons that align with our mission of integrating Islamic values with academic excellence. Responsibilities
- Design engaging lesson plans that promote active learning, creativity, and critical thinking across various subjects including language arts, math, and social studies
- Manage classroom environments effectively to ensure safety, positive behavior management, and inclusive participation for all students
- Foster strong communication with students to support their emotional well-being and encourage a love of learning through tutoring and individualized support
- Utilize classroom management techniques to maintain discipline while nurturing a respectful and supportive atmosphere
- Conduct assessments using standardized testing methods to monitor student progress and inform instructional strategies
- Collaborate with colleagues on curriculum development initiatives and participate in ongoing professional development related to childhood development and early intervention strategies
- Engage with parents or guardians through regular updates on student progress and behavior management strategies
- Incorporate diverse teaching methods including physical education activities and hands-on learning experiences to cater to different learning styles
Requirements
- Proven experience working with children in educational or childcare settings.
- Strong background in childhood development theories, classroom management techniques, and behavior management strategies
- Familiarity with early intervention programs and child welfare standards to support diverse learner needs
- Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration with parents, colleagues, and students
- Ability to plan lessons that align with educational standards and incorporate standardized testing when necessary
- Demonstrated ability to manage classrooms effectively while fostering a positive learning environment
