We are looking for an experienced and dependable professional to transport live Poultry across the Fraser Valley. This position requires a focus on animal welfare, an ability to work with minimal supervision, as well as an aptitude for running forklift. The successful candidate will also need to be reliable, trustworthy and able to work with little supervision. Key responsibilities of the position include loading and unloading trucks, keeping accurate records, following safety regulations and communicating with team members.
Responsibilities:
- Drive a tractor-trailer to Pickup and transport live poultry.
- Drive a tractor-trailer truck or any comparable, over-the-road commercial vehicle for the purpose of transporting goods.
- Ensure that cargo is properly secured and loaded onto the vehicle.
- Load and unload the modules from the trailer.
- Fill out delivery documentation and check that it is accurate.
- Use specialized equipment such as moffets, forklifts, and telehandlers to load/unload moduels on trucks.
- Work O/T and weekends as needed.
