Overview
We are seeking a reliable and experienced Owner Operator Sprinter for cross-border freight transportation. This role involves managing your own vehicle to facilitate timely and efficient deliveries across borders, ensuring compliance with all safety and regulatory standards. The ideal candidate will possess strong driving skills, familiarity with freight handling, and the ability to operate heavy equipment when necessary. This position offers the opportunity to work independently while contributing to a vital logistics network that supports international trade.
Duties
- Operate Sprinter vans for cross-border freight deliveries, ensuring timely pickups and drop-offs.
- Manage all aspects of freight handling, including loading, unloading, and securing cargo to prevent damage during transit.
- Navigate border crossings efficiently while adhering to customs regulations and documentation requirements.
- Perform routine vehicle inspections and basic maintenance to ensure vehicle safety and compliance.
- Conduct automotive repairs or troubleshooting when necessary to minimize downtime and maintain vehicle reliability.
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, mileage, fuel usage, and other operational data.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch teams regarding schedules, delays, or issues encountered during routes.
Qualifications
- Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) with a clean driving record.
- Proven experience in commercial driving, preferably with cross-border freight operations.
- Familiarity with freight handling procedures and safety protocols.
- Experience operating forklifts or heavy equipment is a plus.
- Basic automotive repair skills are desirable for vehicle troubleshooting and minor repairs.
- Ability to manage time efficiently and work independently in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail for documentation and compliance purposes.
- Knowledge of border crossing procedures and customs documentation requirements is advantageous. This role requires a dedicated professional committed to safety, efficiency, and excellent service delivery across international borders.
Pay: $4,000.00-$6,000.00 per month
