Job Overview
We are seeking a professional and customer-focused Automotive Service Advisor to join our dealership team. The ideal candidate will serve as the primary point of contact for customers seeking vehicle maintenance and repairs, ensuring a positive service experience. This role involves effectively communicating repair needs, providing accurate estimates, and coordinating service appointments to meet customer expectations. Prior service repair or mechanical experience is highly valued, along with strong mechanical knowledge and excellent customer service skills. The Service Advisor plays a vital role in building customer loyalty through professionalism, technical understanding, and sales acumen.
Duties
- Greet customers warmly and professionally upon arrival, establishing a welcoming environment.
- Listen carefully to customer concerns and accurately document vehicle issues and service requests.
- Explain necessary repairs or maintenance procedures clearly and thoroughly, providing detailed estimates.
- Recommend additional services or repairs through upselling techniques to enhance vehicle performance and safety.
- Coordinate with technicians to prioritize work orders and ensure timely completion of services.
- Manage cash handling transactions accurately, including processing payments and issuing receipts.
- Maintain detailed records of all services performed, including parts used and labor hours.
- Follow up with customers post-service to ensure satisfaction and address any further needs.
- Promote automotive services, warranties, and products to maximize sales opportunities while maintaining integrity.
- Keep the service area organized and ensure compliance with safety standards.
Skills
- Proven experience in a dealership or automotive repair environment is preferred.
- Strong mechanical knowledge to understand vehicle systems and repair procedures.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly to clients.
- Sales aptitude with experience in upselling additional services or products effectively.
- Ability to handle cash transactions accurately and responsibly.
- Good organizational skills with attention to detail for record keeping and scheduling.
- Professional demeanor with strong interpersonal skills to build rapport with customers and team members.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high-quality service standards.

Pay: $25.00-$30.00 per hour
