Job Description
Alavida Lifestyles is looking to hire a Housekeeper for our retirement residences. The
Housekeeping Associate reports to the Concierge Manager to keep a clean, safe
environment for all Alavida Lifestyles Residents.
Must be available to work on occasional weekends.
As part of Alavida Lifestyles' Mandatory Vaccination Policy, all employees must be fully
vaccinated against COVID-19 and provide proof of vaccination as a condition of
employment.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Work collaboratively as part of the team to maintain a clean, safe environment
- Use safe practices to minimize the spread of infection
- Clean, dust and vacuum Residents’ suites and public areas
- Clean and sanitize Residents’ bathrooms and all public washrooms as per
schedule
- Empty garbage daily from Residents’ suites and common areas
- Perform deep cleaning of suites when they are vacated
- Keep housekeeping cart cleaned, organized, and stocked
- Other duties as required
QUALIFICATIONS
- Previous housekeeping experience, preferably in a retirement residence or
hospitality setting
- Ability to speak read and write English; must be able to follow oral and written
directions and do simple arithmetic calculations
- Ability to work quickly and efficiently to maintain Resident suites and common
areas
- Ability to work independently and within a team environment
- Knowledge of electronic devices and computer user
- Previous experience working with industrial chemicals and completion of WHMIS
training
