Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Locksmith to join our team at Lock-Rite Security. The ideal candidate will be responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining a wide range of security hardware. This role requires a strong understanding of mechanical locks, along with the ability to interpret blueprints. The Locksmith will play a vital role in ensuring the safety and security of our clients’ properties through expert lock and security system services.
We are looking for a fully licensed Locksmith or a "Locksmith under Supervision License" with at least 2 to 3 years experience.
Duties
- Install, repair, and maintain mechanical locks, installing astragals, knob guards, panic hardware and door closers.
- Keying locks.
- Experience with Mul-t-lock would be an asset.
- Read and interpret blueprints, and technical diagrams related to security hardware.
- Perform construction-related tasks such as mounting hardware on various surfaces using power tools and hand tools.
- Maintain accurate documentation of work performed, system configurations, and service reports.
- Shop work and outside service will be required.
Experience
- Proven experience in locksmithing and installation is required.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience using power tools and hand tools.
- Familiarity with blueprint reading and construction plans.
Requirements
- Valid BC Drivers License
- 2-3 years of experience
- 40 Hours per Week - Monday to Friday with the possibility of overtime
Job Type: Permanent
Pay: $30.00-$35.00 per hour
