Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and relationship-driven Restaurant Partnerships Representative to join the Halal Food Pass team. In this field-based role, you will be responsible for expanding our network of halal restaurant partners by building relationships with restaurant owners and managers across the Greater Toronto Area. You will introduce restaurants to Halal Food Pass, explain the benefits of becoming a restaurant partner, negotiate member offers, and guide partners through the onboarding process. The ideal candidate is an excellent communicator who enjoys meeting new people, thrives in a target-oriented environment, and is passionate about helping local businesses grow. No previous sales or business development experience is required—we provide training and are looking for individuals with a positive attitude, strong work ethic, and willingness to learn.
Responsibilities
- Identify and prospect halal restaurants through research, local networking, and in-person visits.
- Meet with restaurant owners and managers to introduce Halal Food Pass and explain the benefits of becoming a restaurant partner.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with restaurant partners throughout the onboarding process and beyond.
- Negotiate member offers, including discount structure, redemption terms, eligible menu items, and offer schedules.
- Collect and verify restaurant information, photos, operating hours, contact details, and promotional content for publication on the platform.
- Coordinate with the internal team to ensure restaurant listings are accurate and launched successfully.
- Provide basic training to restaurant staff on how the Lime Card redemption process works.
- Conduct regular follow-up visits to strengthen partnerships, gather feedback, and identify opportunities to improve restaurant offers.
- Maintain accurate records of restaurant visits, follow-ups, and partnership status using CRM tools.
- Achieve monthly partnership targets while delivering a professional and positive experience for every restaurant.
- Stay informed about local restaurant trends, competitors, and opportunities to expand Halal Food Pass into new communities.
Requirements
- No previous experience is required. Full training will be provided.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Comfortable meeting restaurant owners and managers in person.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Self-motivated, enthusiastic, and able to work independently.
- Willingness to learn, accept feedback, and continuously improve.
- Basic computer and smartphone skills.
- Valid driver’s licence and access to reliable transportation are preferred but not mandatory.
- Familiarity with the GTA halal restaurant community is an asset but not required.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including occasional evenings or weekends, when required.
Pay: $18.00-$35.00 per hour
