The Assistant Manager – Food Service assists the Restaurant Manager in planning, organizing, directing, controlling, and evaluating the overall operations of the restaurant. Duties include:
- Assist in planning, organizing, directing, and evaluating daily restaurant operations
- Participate in developing work schedules and procedures and coordinate activities of staff
- Assist in recruiting, hiring, training, and evaluating staff performance
- Help manage budgets, control costs, and monitor sales and labour expenses
- Assist in ordering food, supplies, and equipment and maintaining inventory levels
- Ensure food quality, customer service, and cleanliness standards are consistently met
- Address customer complaints and implement service improvements
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and sanitation regulations
- Assist in preparing reports related to sales, staffing, and operational performance
- Support the Restaurant Manager in achieving business and operational goals
