Kidz Space Skyview Daycare , is a leading daycare facility that currently serves 100+ families (and Growing). As a Center Director, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the educational landscape of our institution. You will lead with passion and purpose, ensuring that our center not only meets but exceeds the expectations of students, faculty, and the community.
We are seeking a passionate and experienced Daycare Director to manage our two locations and to lead our exceptional team and uphold the highest standards of care and education.
What you’ll do
- Develop and implement strategic plans that align with the center’s goals and objectives.
- Lead and inspire a team of 30+ staff, including ECE teachers, support staff, and administrators. This is a big team, so a hands-on and collaborative approach to training and mentoring is a must! You will be working directly with the staff and children on a daily basis (this is not a desk job, so roll up your sleeves!).
- Manage day-to-day operations, ensuring a smooth and efficient workflow.
- Lead educational administration efforts, supporting faculty in delivering high-quality instruction.
- Cultivate a positive culture of leadership that inspires staff and students alike.
- Leverage university experience to enhance program offerings and student engagement.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to promote community involvement and partnerships.
- Evaluate program effectiveness through data analysis and feedback mechanisms.
- Monitor and ensure compliance with all licensing, safety & health regulations.
- Regularly inspect the facility to ensure it meets health, safety, and cleanliness standards. Ensure that toys, materials, furniture and the spaces are kept in pristine condition and that any repairs needed or broken items are addressed immediately.
- Managing government grants and submission of government reports for subsidy to government on Monthly basis.
Family & Community Engagement:
- Build and maintain strong relationships with families, addressing their concerns promptly and professionally.
- Communicate effectively with parents and guardians through regular updates, meetings, events, and other communication lines.
- Represent the center in community outreach and partnerships to foster support and growth.
Qualifications
- Early Childhood Education Diploma (or equivalent).
- Must hold Alberta ECE Level 3 certification.
- Valid Standard First Aid with CPR Level B or C Certification.
- Clear & Valid Criminal Record Check with Vulnerable Sector obtained within the last 6 months.
- Ability to work exceptionally well in teams
Experience
- Minimum of 3 years of childcare management or related leadership experience.
- Experience managing large teams and a multi-age childcare program is highly preferred.
