ArborMetrics Solutions is currently seeking motivated, highly skilled individuals to fill multiple positions working throughout the province of Manitoba. Preferences will be given to local applicants or applicants that are able to reside in the province of Manitoba.
Integrated Pole Maintenance (IPM) Supervisor:
This field position requires the qualified candidates to be responsible for an Integrated Pole Maintenance (IPM) Foreperson and their 3 to 4 crews in a Customer Service Area. Successful candidates will be required to submit paperwork, provide progress reports, perform quality assessments, address concerns, and ensure clearances are obtained.
- Understanding of the overhead power system with specific attention to communication or safety hold offs, automatic circuit reclosure, and limits of approach.
The following qualifications are considered an asset:
- Previous Pole Maintenance Supervision experience.
- Degree or diploma in Forestry, Natural Resources Management, or certification in a related field (electrical trade).
- Experience using ArcGIS and mobile data collection software.
Additional Information
- Starting wage is estimated $25.00 - $30.00/hr (40 hours) + available weekly Overtime.
- Shift will be 6 days on and 1 day off, with overtime as per Employment Standards.
- Accommodation and subsistence will be provided.
- Works outside in all temperatures and weather. Note: excessive heat is possible.
- Possible contact with the environment (i.e., irritating plants, biting, or stinging insects, and dust).
- All positions are required to control various forms of reporting, such as completion of work, vegetation surveys, and monitoring hours of work by contractors.
- Engage with staff to review and understand clearance to work requirements and safety hold off communication.
- Hiking/Walking on uneven terrain.
- May encounter dogs and other animals.
- Must be a self-starter.
- There is no guarantee of duration; however, historically, these projects have been 5-6 months to multi-year.
- Must be 18 years of age or older.
