Express Employment Professionals is currently recruiting on behalf of one of our clients for a Temporary Cook position.
This is a temporary opportunity with a rotating schedule. One week will consist of 3 shifts, followed by 4 shifts the next week. Shifts are scheduled from 12:30 PM to 8:00 PM.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and cook food according to established recipes and standards
- Follow food safety, sanitation, and storage procedures
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
- Assist with food preparation and kitchen duties as required
- Ensure quality and consistency in food production
Qualifications:
- Previous experience as a cook or in a related food service role is required
- Knowledge of basic food preparation principles and various cooking methods
- Understanding of food safety regulations, including proper food handling, sanitation, and storage practices
- Food Safety Certification
- Strong basic math and counting skills
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift, bend, push, pull, and stand or walk for extended periods
- Ability to wear required uniforms and Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
