Your Role in Supporting Our Members:
As a Sr. Manager, Regulatory Strategy & Innovation, you will lead the development and execution of regulatory compliance strategy for Vancity’s digital banking initiatives, translating complex OSFI and FCAC requirements into scalable, technology-enabled solutions. You will partner across product, technology, operations, and business teams to embed compliance into a modern digital banking platform, while driving innovation through automation, AI, and regtech solutions. This role is ideal for a strategic, forward-thinking compliance leader with deep regulatory expertise, digital banking experience, and the ability to influence cross-functional stakeholders in a rapidly evolving environment.
This is a Full-time, Permanent role based at our Vancity head office and will report directly to the VP, Enterprise Regulatory Compliance. While this position provides a hybrid work arrangement, you will be expected to be on-site for events and business demands.
How You'll Make an Impact:
- Leading the development of regulatory compliance strategy for digital banking initiatives aligned with OSFI and FCAC requirements
- Translating regulatory requirements into scalable business, product, and technology design solutions
- Serving as a subject matter expert on prudential and consumer protection expectations in digital banking and fintech environments
- Partnering with product, technology, operations, and legal teams to embed compliance into the operating model and platform design
- Supporting regulator engagement activities including preparation, interpretation alignment, and response coordination
- Identifying and implementing innovative, technology-enabled solutions including AI, automation, and regtech tools
- Driving compliance scalability, monitoring, and execution through modernized processes and systems
- Influencing cross-functional stakeholders to ensure alignment between regulatory expectations and business outcomes
What You’ll Bring to the Team:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Law, Risk Management, or a related field
- 8+ years of experience in regulatory compliance, risk management, or financial services with exposure to digital banking or fintech
- Strong knowledge of OSFI and FCAC regulatory frameworks and prudential/consumer protection requirements
- Experience translating regulatory requirements into business, product, or technology solutions
- Proven ability to lead cross-functional initiatives across product, technology, and operations teams
- Experience engaging with regulators or supporting regulatory examinations and discussions
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a focus on innovation and continuous improvement
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence at senior levels
Extra Skills That Set You Apart:
- Experience working on digital challenger bank or large-scale digital transformation initiatives
- Familiarity with AI, automation, or regtech solutions applied to compliance and risk management
- Professional designation such as CPA, CAMS, CRCM, or similar

What You’ll Earn:
This role offers a salary range of $122,400 to $158,400 per annum. The base pay offered may vary depending on factors such as relevant qualifications, skills, previous experience, and internal equity. As part of our total rewards package, employees may also be eligible for our annual incentive program, subject to program eligibility requirements.
