Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and dependable Septic Tank and Field Installer to join our team. This role involves installing, repairing, and maintaining septic systems and related components in various residential and commercial settings. The ideal candidate will possess mechanical aptitude, experience operating heavy equipment, and the ability to work outdoors in diverse conditions. This position offers opportunities for hands-on work with a variety of tools and machinery, contributing to essential infrastructure projects.
Responsibilities
- Install septic tanks, drain fields, and associated piping according to specifications and safety standards
- Operate heavy equipment such as excavators and skid steers to position septic components
- Use hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and low voltage electrical experience to assemble and secure system parts
- Perform site assessments to determine optimal installation locations and ensure compliance with local codes
- Conduct routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on septic systems as needed
- Ensure all work areas are safe, clean, and organized throughout project execution
- Collaborate with team members to complete projects efficiently and accurately
Requirements
- Mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience in construction or plumbing-related fields
- Proficiency in operating heavy equipment such as excavator and skid steer operations
- Experience with electrical systems, low voltage wiring, welding, and the use of hand tools and power tools
- Ability to lift heavy materials safely and work outdoors in varying weather conditions
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record preferred
- Prior experience working with septic systems or similar infrastructure projects is a plus
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
Pay: $18.00-$30.00 per hour
