Director of Operations

A growing industrial services organization is seeking a Director of Operations to lead and optimize its core operational functions. This is a senior leadership role for a strategic, commercially minded operator who can balance big-picture thinking with hands-on execution.
The successful candidate will have the opportunity to shape operational performance today while positioning themselves for future progression into a General Manager role.

Key Responsibilities
- Champion a strong safety culture and ensure all employees actively embrace safety-first behaviors
- Lead day-to-day operations to maximize productivity, efficiency, and profitability
- Present financial performance and operational metrics to divisional leadership
- Set clear priorities for the operations team and align resources accordingly
- Develop and coach talent, making strategic hiring decisions to support business growth
- Drive employee engagement through consistent, transparent, and motivational leadership
- Partner with key customers to ensure projects and services are delivered safely, on time, and to the highest standard
- Continuously improve processes to enhance operational performance and business outcomes
What You Bring
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related field; professional designation preferred
- MBA considered a strong asset
- Minimum 5 years of experience leading operations or managing large-scale projects with P&L responsibility
- Demonstrated commercial acumen and financial accountability
- Proven track record of process improvement and operational optimization
- Strong communication, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a results-driven environment
- Demonstrated experience building high-performing teams and developing future leaders

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $100,000.00-$180,000.00 per year
